(i)Erection of a single storey extension to side and rear following the demolition of existing garage and conservatory (AMENDED PLANS) at 16 West Hall Garth, South Cave, HU15 2HD for Mr S Thornton.

The meeting was closed at 7.10pm for a member of the public to address the Committee with objections.  The meeting reconvened at 7.15pm.

Cllr Wright proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection to the proposal as the extension has no adverse effect on the property itself, the street scene or the enjoyment of neighbouring properties, Seconded Cllr Kelly, All in favour.

1671    Trees

(i)App No. 10/50015/TCA – Prune Cherry Tree at 2 Castle Drive, South Cave.

Cllr Marsh proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection to the pruning of the Cherry Tree in principal but as a tree wardens report was not available, the matter be deferred to the East Riding Tree Officer, Seconded Cllr M Turner, All in favour.

(ii)App No. 10/50019/TCA – Remove 3 large Silver Birch Trees at 2 Bull Pasture, South Cave and replace with Laurel Hedge.

Cllr Wright proposed that whilst the Parish Council feels the trees are not particularly good quality species, on balance there is a need for trees to be present on that part of the street scene as they make a positive contribution to the Conservation Area and are an important visual amenity.  The Parish Council therefore suggests that a TPO be placed on these trees, Seconded Cllr Kelly, Vote: 6 in favour, 2 abstentions.
