Planning Meeting 8th November 2010
The Meeting of South Cave Parish Council Planning Committee took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave at 7.00pm.

Cllr Manley proposed apologies be accepted from Cllrs Munby and Lenton, Seconded
Cllr M Turner, All in favour.

1722 Current Plans to consider
(i)DC/10/04235/PLF/WESTES Full Planning Permission
Erection of a single storey extension to existing detached garage with self-contained studio to first floor above (Amended Scheme of application 10/03012/PLF at Turks Trod House, 67A Church Street, South Cave for Mr T Rogerson.
The meeting was closed at 7.10pm for members of the public to address the Parish Council regarding the following item. The meeting reconvened at 7.15pm.
Cllr M Turner proposed that the Parish Council recommend refusal of this application due to overdevelopment/over massing in a residential area which is not in keeping with the character and appearance of the conservation area. The proposed development will have an adverse effect on the amenity of an open public space by overlooking the King George V Field where children play and the public right of way. If ERYC are to approve this application, the Parish Council would like to recommend that a condition should be attached that the glass in the window to the South is obscure glass, that the development is for domestic purpose and not for commercial use and that if further extensions/amendments/change of use should be put forward at a later date, these should have to be made by a planning application due to the development being in the Conservation Area, Seconded Cllr Kelly, All in favour.
(ii)DC/10/04272/PLF/WESTES Full Planning Permission
Erection of conservatory at 21 The Parklands, South Cave for Mr & Mrs Allison.
Cllr Manley proposed that the Parish Council raise no objections to the proposal as it has no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the Street Scene, Seconded Cllr L Turner, All in favour.
(iii)DC/10/04355/VAR/WESTES Variation of conditions
Variation of conditions 5 of planning permission 10/01948/PLF at 91 Beverley Road
For Mr & Mrs Holbrook.
Cllr Harrison proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection to the variation of condition in this planning application as it has no adverse effect on the neighbouring properties or the Street Scene, Seconded Cllr Barnett, Vote: 6 for, 1 abstention.
(i)App No. 10/50238/TCA Remove large conifer and prune 2 x Acers and 1 x flowering Cherry at 6 Wesley Close, South Cave.
Cllr M Turner proposed that the final decision on this application be deferred to the East Riding Tree Officer, Seconded Cllr Barnett, All in favour.
