The Planning Meeting of South Cave Parish Council took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave at 7.00pm.

1301 Apologies for absence

There were no apologies tendered.

 

1302 Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes

The minutes of the meeting of 24th April 2006 were signed as a true and correct record proposed Cllr Mrs Binns, seconded Cllr Mrs Barnett, All in favour.

 

1303 Declarations of Interest

Cllr Lenton declared a personal interest in Minute Reference: 1307(i) due to friendship

 

1304 Correspondence

(i)The Council noted the withdrawal of DC/05/06484 demolition of existing timber and brick structures at 45 West End.

(ii)Councillors noted receipt of e-mail regarding a proposal

1306 Current plans to consider

(i)DC/05/05471/OUT/WESTWW Outline Planning Permission

Erection of a single dwelling (to include siting) Amended Plans at land west of 55 Water Lane, South Cave for Mr K Craven. Cllr Turner proposed that the Parish Council would recommend refusal of this application for the same reasons as per the last time this application was submitted, including overdevelopment of the site, loss of open vista, overlooking, and a loss of trees, having a detrimental effect on the visual amenity of the area, seconded Cllr Harrison, vote: 6 in favour 1 against, 1 abstention.

(ii)DC/06/02744/PLF/WESTES Full Planning Permission

Erection of dwelling and refurbishment of existing barn to form a dwelling following demolition of existing dwelling at Sheepdyke Farm, Common Road, South Cave for Mr and Mrs Jessop Cllr Lenton proposed that the Parish Council would raise no objection, as the proposal would have no adverse effect on the neighbouring properties or the visual amenity of the street scene, and would in fact have a beneficial environmental effect regarding insulation etc, seconded Cllr Scott, All in favour.

(iii)DC/06/02812/PLF/WESTES Full Planning Permission

Erection of two storey extension to side of dwelling following demolition of existing single storey (Resubmission of 05/09015/PLF) at 21 Bridge Road, South Cave for Mr and Mrs Grainger. Cllr Mann proposed that as it was felt that concerns previously put forward have been addressed, i.e. lowering the roof, and a more sympathetic design, the Parish Council will raise no objection to the application, seconded Cllr Mrs Manley, vote: 5 in favour 3 against.

(iv)DC/06/02825/PLF/WESTES Full Planning Permission

Erection of single storey extension at rear at 49 Annie Med Lane South Cave for Mr and Mrs Garner. Cllr Mann proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection to the application, but would prefer to see a low pitched roof as it would be more in keeping with adjoining/adjacent properties, and more aesthetically pleasing on this visually prominent site, seconded Cllr Harrison, All in favour.

(v)DC/06/02999/PLF/WESTES Full Planning Permission

Erection of a dwelling at land south of 8 First Lane, South Cave for Mr and Mrs Gillett. Cllr Lenton proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection as this proposal has no adverse effect on neighbouring properties or street scene, and has no adverse effect on the character and appearance of the adjacent Conservation Area, and the Council is pleased to note the environmentally friendly construction proposed, seconded Cllr Mann, All in favour.

(vi)DC/06/03084/PLF/WESTES Full Planning Permission

Erection of single storey extension to rear at 39 The Stray, South Cave for Mr and Mrs Craughan. Cllr Scott proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection, as the proposal has no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street scene, seconded Cllr Harrison, All in favour.

 

1307 Trees

Applications

Cllr Lenton declared a personal interest on the following item.

(i)App No. 4682 (S211) fell and prune two trees at 1 Hedley Close, South Cave. Cllr Mrs Binns proposed that there were no objections to the work, as it is understood the tree is in a dangerous condition, but would request a replacement either on site, or at another location, seconded Cllr Harrison, All in favour.

Decisions

(i)App No. 4596(S211) fell a tree at 35 Church Street, South Cave permission granted.
