Planning Meeting 7th April 2008

 

The Planning Meeting of South Cave Parish Council took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave at 7.00pm.

 

Present:            Cllrs Turner, Lenton, Marsh, Scott, Kelly, Mrs Barnett, Mrs Manley (Chair), and Mrs Turner

1489  Apologies for absence

Cllr Scott proposed that apologies for absence be accepted from Cllrs Wright and Harrison, seconded Cllr Marsh, All in favour.

 

1490   Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes

The minutes of the meeting of 10th March 2008 were signed, as a true and correct record proposed Cllr Marsh, seconded Cllr  Turner, All in favour.

 

1491   Declarations of Interest

Cllr Mrs Manley declared a personal interest in Minute Reference: 1494 (i) due to proximity of application site

 

1492   Correspondence        

(i)Cllr Mrs Barnett proposed that in order for the Council to be fully informed, Cllrs Scott and Kelly be asked to attend the Core Strategy of the LDF – Issues and Options to be held on 30th April at County Hall commencing at 6.30pm, seconded Cllr Lenton, All in favour.

(ii)Councillors noted the appeal decision regarding 07/01682 – Kettlethorpe Farm, Kettlethorpe Hill, South Cave - Refused

(i)07/07064/PLF/WESTES/AC – 60 Beverley Road, South Cave – Approved with conditions  (ii)07/07549/PLF/WESTES – Hull Animal Welfare Trust – Approved with conditions

            (iii)08/00353/PLF/WESTES – 37 The Stray, South Cave – Approved with conditions

 

1494   Current plans to consider

(i)DC/08/01346/PLF/WESTES – Full Planning Permission

Erection of single storey and two storey extension to rear (revised scheme of 08/00119/PLF) at 9 Northfield Close, South Cave for Mr Best. Cllr Mrs Barnett proposed that as concerns have been addressed, the Parish Council would now raise no objection to the application, as it has no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street scene, seconded Cllr Mrs Turner, All in favour.

(ii)DC/08/01502/PLF/WESTES – Full Planning Permission

Erection of two-storey extension to side at 60 Castle Drive, South Cave for Mr Sedman. Cllr Marsh proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection to this application as it has no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street scene, seconded Cllr Turner, All in favour.

             (iii)DC/08/01159/PLF/WESTES – Full Planning Permission

Erection of extension to form office accommodation, extension to retail area together with extension to forecourt canopy, two additional pump islands, provision of underground fuel storage tank, ATM machine, within shop, provision of car parking for office accommodation following demolition of existing detached single storey building (re-submission of 07/06864/PLF) at South Cave Service Station, Brough Road, South Cave for Sewell Group PLC. Cllr Scott proposed that although the site is not within the Parish boundary, the Council would raise no objection to the application as it has no adverse effect on the surrounding area and may have a positive effect on employment opportunities within South Cave, seconded Cllr Mrs Barnett, All in favour.
 

1495    Trees

(i)Councillors noted a TPO on the tree at 39 Beverley Road, South Cave

(ii)App No. 5858 (S211) – prune trees at 13 Station Road, South Cave. Cllr Turner proposed that the Parish Council Parish Council would defer the decision to the Tree Officer, but would
ask that a decision be made that would preserve the tree stock within this sensitive location, seconded Cllr Lenton, All in favour.
 (iii)App No.5862 (TPO) – prune a tree at 3 Appleton Gardens, South Cave Cllr Scott proposed that the Parish Council Parish Council would defer the decision to the Tree Officer, but would ask that a decision be made that would preserve the tree stock within this sensitive location, seconded Cllr Marsh, All in favour.

(iv)Decision No. 5788 (S211) – 32 Station Road, South Cave – permission granted.
