We are all shocked and saddened by the devastating situation in Ukraine. The people of Ukraine and those refugees in neighbouring countries need our help.

Many communities are already taking action and we also want to get involved and do what we can to support this humanitarian crisis Donations:

One effective way to help may be to support the effords of two local Residents, who are transporting essentials, they are seeking donations for Fuel costs for their journey, further information on the work they are doing can be found at Lee Ellerker | Facebook donations can be submitted to Fundraiser by Lee Ellerker : Transport costs, Ukraine (gofundme.com) . We would like to take this opportunity to thank all, who are supporting this project and wish both well on their journey who will departing for a second time – Friday 25th March 2022.

Another effective way to help the Ukrainian people is to make a cash donation to a charity working to protect people in armed conflict and crisis – the County Council recommends that donations be made to the Red Cross – www.redcross.org.uk/ For UK Government information: https://www.gov.uk/world/ukraine/news
