The Parish Council would like to remind residents when it is appropriate to contact the police using the 101 non-emergency number.

๐Ÿš” Call 101 to report:

  • Suspicious activity or behaviour in your area
  • Anti-social behaviour (e.g. noise, nuisance, vandalism)
  • Minor road traffic incidents (no injuries)
  • Ongoing issues such as illegal parking causing danger or obstruction
  • Criminal damage or theft (where it is not happening right now)
  • Concerns about drug-related activity

๐Ÿšซ Do NOT call 101 in an emergency
If a crime is happening now, someone is in immediate danger, or a suspect is nearby, always call 999.

๐Ÿ“ข For driving offences:

  • Use Operation Snap for video evidence of dangerous driving
  • Contact the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for parking enforcement issues

Using the right service helps ensure emergency lines stay free for those who need them most.

Thank you for helping keep our community safe.
