The East Riding of Yorkshire Council published an article within the “Your East Riding” informing residents of the changes to their Planning Application publicity taking effect from 1 April 2017.
These changes formed part of a wider initiative to encourage a greater use of technology within the Council and the planning service, and as the ERYC would no longer be posting individual letters to neighbouring properties, the article set out the benefits for residents of registering on the ERYC Public Access website in order to keep informed of new planning applications, track applications of interest and make any comments. Any complaints relating to these procedures should be submitted to Stephen Hunt, Head of Planning, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, County Hall, Cross Street, Beverley, HU17 9BA.
The Parish Council are not responsible for the notification of Planning Applications to neighbouring properties, this is the responsibility of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and complaints relating to the timing of their display notices etc should be directed to themselves at County Hall. The Parish Council have a obligation to display Agendas for meetings providing three clear days within the Parish Notice boards both at West End – Costcutters & Market Place – Town Hall. The Agendas are also uploaded to the Parish website www.southcavepc.gov.uk
It is important residents regularly visit the notice boards or the website to ensure they are fully up to date with matters detailed on the agenda, within the minutes and also the general information provided which may be of interest in residents and visitors to the area.
