Flood Alleviation Scheme Update
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has provided an update on the proposed flood alleviation scheme.
There are currently no public engagement events or drop-in sessions scheduled. Subject to the project’s progress, any future public engagement is expected to take place during mid-2027, in line with the anticipated submission of a planning application.
Work on the project continues to progress behind the scenes. Detailed ground investigations have now been completed, with groundwater monitoring and reporting continuing. The baseline hydraulic model has also been updated, while a range of additional site investigations have been undertaken. Ecological surveys and environmental monitoring remain ongoing.
The Council has contacted all affected landowners to discuss the proposals, and landowner considerations will continue to be taken into account as the detailed design develops. Preparation of the pre-planning application is also continuing.
South Cave Parish Council will continue to share updates with residents as further information becomes available and any future public engagement events are confirmed.
