9:00 AM – Raising of the VE Day Flag
Join us at the Town Hall, Market Place as we raise the VE Day flag to begin the day of remembrance.

9:30 AM – Reading of the Proclamation
At the Cenotaph, Church Hill, we’ll read the proclamation to honour the day and those who gave so much.

9:30 PM – Lighting of the VE Day Lamp – Light of Peace
Join us at the Cenotaph, Church Hill as we light the VE Day Lamp to symbolize peace and remembrance.

9:30 PM – VE Day Tribute
A special tribute to honour the sacrifice of so many and celebrate the peace that followed.
